SaaS development: from MVP to a product that sells itself
Multi-tenancy, billing and self-service onboarding are not features for later – they decide whether your product works as a business.
A SaaS product is more than a web application with a login: it serves many customers at once, sells itself as far as possible, and has to stay profitable to run. That is what we design the architecture around.

Why a SaaS product is built differently
With an internal application you know every user. With a SaaS product you do not: someone signs up at night, trials it for two weeks, invites colleagues – and then stays or cancels. That difference shapes every architectural decision.
Multi-tenancy from day one: data, configuration and permissions cleanly separated per customer. Retrofitted later, it is the most expensive rebuild a SaaS can go through.
Billing is product logic: plans, trials, upgrades, proration and failed payments belong in the product, not in accounting.
Self-service instead of an onboarding call: sign-up, trial and the first real payoff have to work without you, otherwise sales cannot scale.
Operations are a promise: the moment customers pay for availability, monitoring, a status page and a rehearsed incident process become part of the product.

What makes a SaaS product hold up
Four decisions that are cheap in month one and expensive in year three:
Multi-tenancy that does not hurt later
Shared database with tenant isolation, or an instance per customer? That choice drives your running costs, your answers in a data-protection review, and how quickly you can meet enterprise requirements. We make it deliberately, before the first line of code.
Billing that fits your pricing
Seats, quotas, tiers or usage-based: your pricing model belongs in the product – with trials, upgrades, proration and dunning. We wire payments up so that changing the pricing model does not mean a migration.
Activation, not registration
A sign-up is not a customer yet. We build out the path from sign-up to first real payoff and make it measurable: in-product onboarding, sensible defaults, and metrics that show exactly where users drop out.
Unit cost per customer
What does one customer cost to serve? Without that number every price list is a guess. We make infrastructure and operating cost per tenant visible, so your margin grows with your user count instead of shrinking.
Not selling a product, but building an internal tool, a customer portal or a dashboard? Then a custom web app is the more direct route.
In a free first call we work out whether what you have in mind is a SaaS product – and which architecture and pricing questions to settle first.
